Basketball Recap: Immanuel Christian Beats Rose of Sharon for Their Seventh Straight Victory

Immanuel Christian came tearing into Monday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured a 69-63 W over Rose of Sharon.

Leading Immanuel Christian to victory were Carlos Acu?a and Alan Valenzuela. Acu?a went 5 of 12 on his way to 15 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals, while Valenzuela posted 18 points. Acu?a has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 16 times he's played. Another player making a difference was David Gonzalez, who had seven points.

Immanuel Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in seven consecutive matches.
