Baseball Recap: Munster Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Munster, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Harrison Raiders on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Mason Jarrett was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Munster is 10-1 when Jarrett posts two or more runs, but 3-8 otherwise. Nate Southwell was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and five RBI.

Munster was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harrison only posted a batting average of .217.

Munster's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Harrison, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 15-5 record.

Coincidentally, Munster and Harrison will both be playing Homestead the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will host the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Raiders will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
