Football Recap: Jmere Doe-Davis Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Bradwell Institute + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Effingham County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Bradwell Institute Tigers by a score of 43-35 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Effingham County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jmere Doe-Davis led the charge by rushing for 169 yards and three scores while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. That's the most rushing touchdowns Doe-Davis has posted since back in August of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jr Mckenzie, who rushed for 105 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Effingham County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 275 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Despite the defeat, Bradwell Institute had strong showings from Jahbari Felix, who threw for 274 yards and three touchdowns, and Cameron Keeve, who rushed for 170 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries. Jacobi Pasley was another key player, picking up 53 receiving yards and two TDs.

The win got Effingham County back to even at 2-2. As for Bradwell Institute, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
