Basketball Game Preview: Springfield Yellow Jackets vs. Rossview Hawks

Springfield is 0-10 against Rossview since February of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Springfield Yellow Jackets are taking a road trip to challenge the Rossview Hawks at 6:00 p.m.

Springfield easily dispatched Northeast on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Springfield fell just short of Kirkwood by a score of 39-37 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Rossview came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They skirted past the Wildcats 47-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hawks have posted since December 6, 2024.

Rossview pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points over those games. As for Springfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.

Springfield came up short against Rossview when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 59-48. Can Springfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
