Monday's rubber match between No. 1
Rocklin and sixth-ranked
Del Oro (Loomis) is a battle for bragging rights, a potential Sierra Foothill League title and even a top spot in the final MaxPreps Top 25 Sac-Joaquin Section high school softball rankings. Coming into Monday, each team has won on the opposing field and the Thunder host the Golden Eagles.
There are still several big games left over the next several weeks that could shake up the MaxPreps Top 25. Early season contests have some impact on the rankings, but it's the teams playing the best at the end that matter the most.
