Recap: Santa Rosa Warriors vs. IDEA Sports Park Stingrays
The Santa Rosa Warriors were the 35-21 winner over the IDEA Sports Park Stingrays when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Santa Rosa took a 35-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stingrays on Monday.
Santa Rosa's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lilyan Lopez, who scored nine points along with four steals. Lopez is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Amber Mendoza, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Santa Rosa has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season. As for IDEA Sports Park, their win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-10.
Santa Rosa will take on the at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. IDEA Frontier College Prep comes in still looking for their first win of the season. IDEA Sports Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
