Plant had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They strolled past the Steinbrenner Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 56-41. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Warriors are ranked 571st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Steinbrenner still got an impressive performance from Douglas Jordan, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 16 points. Jordan is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Thomas, who posted two points and ten rebounds.

Plant's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Steinbrenner, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Plant didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-31 win against Robinson on the 14th. As for Steinbrenner, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-43 victory against Jefferson on the 14th.
