Football Game Preview: Charles Page Sandites vs. Piedmont Wildcats + Official Tickets

The Charles Page Sandites will face off against the Piedmont Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Charles Page is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.

Last Friday, Charles Page strolled past Sapulpa with points to spare, taking the game 35-18. The Sandites pushed the score to 35-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Chieftains cut but never quite recovered from.

A big part of Charles Page's win came down to the chemistry between Easton Webb and his top target Dominic Forbes. Webb threw for 226 yards and four TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes while Forbes picked up 140 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Forbes' receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 101 receiving yards.

One reason for the win was Charles Page's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Waylon Jeffers and Grady Harris, who racked up 4.5 sacks between them. Jeffers also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Piedmont had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Bruins 53-28. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won seven contests by 22 points or more so far this season.

Piedmont's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Charles Page, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
