Emmanuel Christian Academy came into Thursday's contest looking for another win against Southeastern Local, but Abby Davis wouldn't allow it. The Trojans had just enough and edged out the Lions 3-2 on Thursday thanks in part to Davis, who had 24 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Southeastern Local took Emmanuel Christian Academy into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 25-22, 22-25, 23-25, 25-19, 15-11.

Emmanuel Christian Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Pheoby Hamastra, who had 20 digs and three assists, and Piper Willetts, who had 19 digs.

Southeastern Local's victory ended a nine-match drought at home and bumped them up to 5-18. As for Emmanuel Christian Academy, their defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9.

As of now, neither Southeastern Local nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
