Volleyball Recap: Edison Chargers vs. St. Paul Flyers
After flying high against Port Clinton on Thursday, Edison came back down to earth. The Chargers came up short against the St. Paul Flyers on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Chargers haven't had much luck with the Flyers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
The final score came out to 25-14, 25-20, 25-13.
Dana Preston paced Edison's offense, picking up seven kills. Preston got some help from Peyton Bissell and her ten assists.
St. Paul had a senior duo take command as Bella Guerra had 14 digs and four aces and Lily Cuturic had nine digs and three assists. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Guerra.
Edison's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for St. Paul, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6.
Looking ahead, Edison will challenge Western Reserve at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Paul, they will square off against St. Mary Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
