Basketball Game Preview: Sam Rayburn Texans vs. Dobie Longhorns

Sam Rayburn is on a four-game streak of home losses, Dobie a seven-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Sam Rayburn Texans will host the Dobie Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Sam Rayburn is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since December 5th on Saturday. They came up short against Tarkington, falling 71-50. While losing is never fun, the Texans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1031st, while the Longhorns are ranked 311th).

Meanwhile, Dobie lost to Huntsville on the road by a 62-45 margin on Saturday.

Dobie's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Sam Rayburn, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17.

Sam Rayburn took a serious blow against Dobie in their previous meeting back in January, falling 86-39. Can Sam Rayburn avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
