Presentation extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 8-6. They lost 14-1 to the Archbishop Mitty Monarchs. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 13-6 to the Monarchs when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Archbishop Mitty, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-2. Considering they have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
For Archbishop Mitty's part, Kaia Williams made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Williams has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Kyleigh Mace got the start for Archbishop Mitty and what a start it was: she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Mace has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Archbishop Mitty let Alyssa Hahn and Makayla (MJ) Fikes run wild. Hahn went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Fikes went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Hahn a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adelle Duncan, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Coincidentally, Presentation and Archbishop Mitty will both be playing Valley Christian the next time they take the field. The Monarchs will head out to face the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
