Basketball Game Preview: Claremore Christian Warriors vs. Wesleyan Christian Mustangs

The Claremore Christian Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the Wesleyan Christian Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Claremore Christian is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Claremore Christian is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Wright Christian last Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Claremore Christian lost 45-19 to Wright Christian. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered against the Wildcats since January 18, 2022.

Meanwhile, Wesleyan Christian hadn't done well against Copan recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Wesleyan Christian put the hurt on Copan with a sharp 56-31 win. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season.

Claremore Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Wesleyan Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.

Claremore Christian came up short against Wesleyan Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 58-47. Can Claremore Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
