Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Owensboro). They took down the Green County Dragons 68-50 on Saturday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Red Devils' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Dragons are ranked 28th).

The win made it two in a row for Owensboro and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for Green County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2-1.

Owensboro will challenge Whitefield Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Whitefield Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.9 points per game this season. As for Green County, they will square off against Adair County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Adair County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Green County likes a good challenge.
