Recap: DC International Dragons vs. E.L. Haynes
A well-balanced attack led the DC International Dragons over E.L. Haynes in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. DC International enjoyed a cozy 63-46 win over E.L. Haynes. The victory made it back-to-back wins for DC International.
It was another big night for Jordan Mason, who scored 30 points. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Jhalil Route was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
E.L. Haynes' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Juan Creamer, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Santana Stewart, who scored eight points.
DC International is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. As for E.L. Haynes, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
DC International won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Georgetown Day at 2:00 p.m. on January 27th. Hopefully Georgetown Day focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 on Thursday. As for E.L. Haynes, they will be playing at home against Thurgood Marshall Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Thurgood Marshall Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
