Basketball Game Preview: Cobre Indians vs. Socorro Warriors

Cobre is 2-8 against Socorro since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Cobre Indians will welcome the Socorro Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Socorro took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Cobre, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Cobre strolled past Hatch Valley with points to spare, taking the game 64-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Meanwhile, Socorro ended up a good deal behind Hot Springs on Tuesday and lost 52-37. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Cobre's victory bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Socorro, their loss dropped their record down to 6-19.

Cobre didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Socorro in their previous matchup two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 70-65 win. Will Cobre repeat their success, or does Socorro have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
