Volleyball Recap: Seward Bluejays vs. York Dukes
Seward was the 2-0 winner over York when they last played one another on October 2nd, but their luck changed this time around. The Bluejays fell just short of the Dukes by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.
Jackie Eberspacher paced Seward's offense, picking up 14 kills. Eberspacher got some help from Taegan Weber and her 28 assists. Weber also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Tayla Hass, each putting up two.
Leading York to victory were Kendyl Hirschfeld and Kinslee Kern. Hirschfeld had seven digs and one assist, while Kern hit 77.8% for seven kills and 27 assists and five digs. Kern is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.
Seward's defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for York, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-15.
