Baseball Recap: Lee-Scott Academy Wins Going Away Against Beulah

Lee-Scott Academy barely beat Beulah the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Lee-Scott Academy's pitchers stepped up to hand Beulah a 12-0 shutout on Thursday. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.

Braden Martin tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Lee-Scott Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Jackson, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Jackson hit this season.

Lee-Scott Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Beulah and nudges their season record down to 9-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lee-Scott Academy beat Beulah by a score of 16-5 on Friday.
