Basketball Recap: Nederland Comes Up Short

Nederland played a tough match on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 60-29 defeat at the hands of the Two Roads Charter School Falcons. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-16.

Despite the loss, Nederland still got an impressive performance from Drew Hertzfeld, who posted 12 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Indio Koonz, who earned four points.

Kevyn Feldon was his usual excellent self, putting up 20 points for Two Roads Charter School. The team also got some help courtesy of Beau Work, who put up 11 points.

Nederland is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. As for Two Roads Charter School, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nederland will venture away from home to take on Ascent Classical Academy Northern Colorado at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Two Roads Charter School, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Two Roads Charter School Falcons take on the Rocky Mountain Lutheran Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Two Roads Charter School has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
