Baseball Recap: Holliston Comes Up Short

Holliston came into this matchup off a tough 11-run loss on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Ashland Clockers by a score of 6-4 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered since April 22nd.

Arav Prajapati was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits.

At the plate, Ty Bosselman was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Tom Quinn, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Holliston and nudges their season record down to 13-8. As for Ashland, they pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holliston will venture away from home to challenge Westwood at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ashland, they will head out to square off against Westborough at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
