Springboro fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Fairmont on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Firebirds by a score of 2-1. Springboro's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Springboro's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3-2. As for Fairmont, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3-2 record this season.

Springboro is taking a road trip to take on Walnut Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fairmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
