Volleyball Recap: Alliance Takes Down Ranked Sundance

Alliance is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Sundance. Alliance sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Sundance. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Alliance has posted since October 15, 2024.

Despite the loss, Sundance had strong showings from Blakely Gill, who had 12 digs and three aces, and Karly Marchant, who had six digs.

Alliance's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Sundance, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Coming up, Alliance will head out to face off against Scottsbluff on Tuesday. As for Sundance, they will face off against Rapid City Central at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
