Basketball Recap: Murtaugh Comes Up Short

Murtaugh lost against Valley back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Murtaugh Red Devils were outmatched by the Valley Vikings and fell 64-30. The Red Devils were down 51-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Murtaugh has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Murtaugh will head out on the road to square off against Butte County at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Butte County will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Murtaugh surely won't give up without a fight. As for Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 72-50 victory against Raft River on the 16th.
