Justin Garza was forced to take a big loss against they on Tuesday, they got the better of them on Friday. They never let the Sanger Apaches get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Guardians: when they faced off against the Apaches on Tuesday, they had to take a 10-0 defeat.

Not much got past Adam Harden, who gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks to keep Sanger off the board.

At the plate, Justin Garza's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Luke Trukki, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Justin Garza has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-15 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Sanger, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Justin Garza will take on rival Edison at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in the Guardians' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Tigers have been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road. Meanwhile, Sanger is set to face off against their familiar foe Sanger West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
