Softball Recap: Blackman Takes a Loss

Blackman lost against Oakland back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Blackman fell just short of Oakland by a score of 5-3. The Blaze have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Blackman saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Compton, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Blackman's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Oakland, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2-1.

Looking ahead, Blackman will be taking part in a tournament against Boonville at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oakland, they will take on Sycamore at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
