Basketball Recap: Westside Takes a Loss

Westside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-56 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mountainburg Dragons. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rebels have suffered since February 2, 2024.

Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Mountainburg, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-9.

Westside will head out on the road to challenge Hector at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hector has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 204 points over their last three matches. As for Mountainburg, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Danville at 7:15 p.m. One thing working in Mountainburg's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
