Broadview/Lavina put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 53-51 win over the Melstone Broncs. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 53-27 victory the Broncs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Broadview/Lavina's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Melstone, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Broadview/Lavina and Melstone will both be playing Custer/Hysham the next time they take the court. Melstone will host Custer/Hysham at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Broadview/Lavina will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th.
