Basketball Game Preview: Crest Ridge Cougars vs. Holden Eagles

Crest Ridge is 2-8 against Holden since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Cougars will look to defend their home court against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Crest Ridge lost 62-38 to Adrian last Tuesday.

Despite the defeat, Crest Ridge had strong showings from Ella Shaw, who posted ten points and six steals, and Brilynn Fleming, who earned ten points along with six rebounds and four steals. Fleming is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games she's played dating back to last season.

Holden kicked off their season on the road last Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 21-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Concordia.

Crest Ridge skirted past Holden 37-34 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
