Baseball Recap: Delta Triumphs

Delta took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Wauseon, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Indians 4-2. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Delta's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Wauseon, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Delta will venture away from home to challenge Hilltop at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wauseon, they will face off against Swanton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Indians' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
