Basketball Recap: Mount Vernon Takes a Loss

Mount Vernon was the 85-50 winner over Meridian when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mount Vernon Bulldogs took a 72-55 bruising from the Meridian Trojans on Friday.

Mount Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Meridian, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6.

Mount Vernon will challenge Blaine at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Mount Vernon is facing Blaine at the right time seeing as Blaine is stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Meridian, they will face off against Sedro-Woolley at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
