Baseball Game Preview: Brookville Blue Devils vs. Madison Mohawks

The Brookville Blue Devils will venture away from home to face off against the Madison Mohawks at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Brookville has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Brookville is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They took a 15-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of Waynesville.

Meanwhile, Madison suffered their closest loss since April 4th on Friday. They fell just short of Dayton Christian by a score of 6-4.

Caden Johnson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season. Jakoby Riley was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two RBI.

The defeat was their first on the road, dropping their record down to 2-6. As for Madison, they suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 10-3.

Brookville couldn't quite get it done against Madison in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 as they fell 10-5. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
