Despite the loss, Woods Charter had strong showings from Grant Richardson, who posted 11 points, and Campbell Blackburn, who put up six points. Those six points gave Blackburn a new career-high.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Chatham Charter's strategy against Ascend Leadership on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Chatham Charter blew Ascend Leadership out of the water with a 73-23 final score. With the Knights ahead 45-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Chatham Charter's win came from a few key players Woods Charter will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kymani Wagner-Jatta, who went 5-for-6 on his way to 14 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played.
