Southside Christian had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bethel Christian Academy Trojans a 4-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for Southside Christian, who have now won six contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Jackson Nenni and Nathanael Frey scored all four of Southside Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 29 goals.

Southside Christian's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Bethel Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11-1 record this season.

Southside Christian will square off against Gospel Light Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethel Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
