Baseball Recap: Wright Red Devils vs. Ewen-Trout Creek Panthers
Wright put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. Everything went their way against the Ewen-Trout Creek Panthers as the Wright Red Devils made off with a 20-6 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wright.
Parker Osterman was a standout: he scored three runs and stole four bases. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Buerger, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.
Wright's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Ewen-Trout Creek, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
Wright will play host again on Saturday to welcome Menominee, where first pitch is scheduled at 12:30 p.m. Wright is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season. Ewen-Trout Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
