Softball Recap: Windsor Central Find Success

Windsor Central won the last time they faced Oneonta and things went their way on Monday too. The Black Knights walked away with a 7-3 win over the Yellowjackets.

Brooke Quick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ashlee Hagerman, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. Those stolen bases marked the first that she snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Baret, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

The victory got Windsor Central back to even at 3-3. As for Oneonta, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Windsor Central will challenge Susquehanna Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oneonta, they will welcome Delaware Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
