Gate City hasn't lost a match since March 24th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They never let the John Battle Trojans get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-0 on April 4th.

Walker Hillman and Carson Stephens scored both of Gate City's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Gate City pushed their record up to 11-1-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six contests. As for John Battle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6-1.

Looking ahead, Gate City will head out to square off against Lee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for John Battle, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 4-1 loss against Abingdon on the 1st.
