Soccer Recap: Redding Christian Takes a Loss

Redding Christian fell victim to Red Bluff and their airtight defense on Saturday. They came up short against the Red Bluff Spartans, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 892nd, while the Spartans are ranked 330th).

This is the second loss in a row for Redding Christian and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Red Bluff, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Redding Christian wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 6-0 loss against Yreka on the 17th. Red Bluff has also already played their next game, a 1-0 defeat against Las Plumas on the 14th.
