Volleyball Game Preview: Anaheim Colonists vs. Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros

The Anaheim Colonists will head out on the road to challenge the Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Anaheim is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

On Wednesday, Anaheim got the win against Loara by a conclusive 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Rancho Alamitos had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 3-1 win over La Quinta on Tuesday. Surprisingly, this marked the third straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

The victory didn't come easy: La Quinta scored at least 21 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23, 23-25, 25-21.

Rancho Alamitos' win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Anaheim, they pushed their record up to 13-13 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Anaheim took their win against Rancho Alamitos in their previous matchup on April 1st by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colonists since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
