Softball Recap: United Takes a Loss

United was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the United South Panthers. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Delani Perez and Desanay Perez did some serious damage despite the final result: Delani went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, while Desanay scored a run while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave Delani a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Eva Rogerio, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

United's record is now 6-12-1. As for United South, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-9-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, United and United South will both be playing Del Rio the next time they take the field. United will head out to face Del Rio at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while United South will host them at 7:00 p.m. on March 11th.
