University will challenge Olympia at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. University is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
University took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over DeLand.

Olivia Boon made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jacquelyn Lara, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Hayden Nichols was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
University hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Olympia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Foundation Academy.
Elizabeth Aguilar was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Gracie Lentine, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
University's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Olympia, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.
Olympia's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: University has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Olympia, though, as they've been averaging 8.9 hits. Given University's sizable advantage in that area, Olympia will need to find a way to close that gap.
University skirted past Olympia 3-2 in their previous matchup back in February. Does University have another victory up their sleeve, or will Olympia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
