Preview: Bear Lake Bears vs. Malad Dragons
Bear Lake is 9-1 against Malad since February of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Bear Lake Bears will be playing at home against the Malad Dragons at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Bear Lake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Monday.
Last Monday, Bear Lake didn't have too much trouble with Aberdeen on the road as they won 59-41. The win was just what Bear Lake needed coming off of a 76-50 defeat in their prior contest.
Taylor Roberts went supernova for Bear Lake, going 8 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Roberts has scored all season. Bryson Crane was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Malad's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Soda Springs.
Bear Lake is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Malad, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-15.
Bear Lake beat Malad 64-51 when the teams last played back in January. Will Bear Lake repeat their success, or does Malad have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
