Basketball Recap: Rockford East Takes a Loss

Rockford East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a blow against the DeKalb Barbs, falling 52-6. The matchup marked the E-Rabs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Azauria Brooks was Rockford East's leading scorer, having posted four points.

Rockford East's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for DeKalb, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockford East will take on McHenry at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for DeKalb, they will face off against Naperville North at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Naperville North is on a three-game streak of home wins, DeKalb a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
