Pershing entered their tilt with Cody on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Comets get on the board and left with an 18-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Doughboys, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Pershing's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Cody, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Pershing will be playing in front of their home fans against Central on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Doughboys 8.7, the Trail Blazers 12.9) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Cody, they will challenge Osborn at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Comets will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
