Sheridan came tearing into Monday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Westfall Mustangs as they made off with a 9-1 win. The Generals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six runs or more this season.

TJ Connors looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, James Solomon was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kory Holden, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.

Sheridan pushed their record up to 18-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Westfall, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season.

Sheridan will take on Marietta in a tournament on Wednesday. Westfall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
