Softball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Seffner Christian

Seffner Christian barely beat Seven Rivers Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Crusaders' pitcher stepped up to hand the Warriors a 15-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Allison Baston made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tenley Newman, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Eliana Serrano was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Seffner Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
