Baseball Recap: Midwood Comes Up Short

If Midwood was riding high fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Wagner on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornets fell just short of the Curtis Warriors by a score of 5-4 on Saturday.

Midwood has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4-1 record this season. As for Curtis, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Midwood will head out to square off against Fort Hamilton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Curtis, they will take on John Jay at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
