After a string of five wins, Charlotte Catholic's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell to the Butler Bulldogs 65-61. The game was a 26-26 toss-up at halftime, but the Cougars couldn't quite close it out.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chris Eagan, who went 6-for-7 to rack up 14 points and eight boards.
