Recap: Warren Dragons vs. Oil City Oilers
If the Warren Dragons were riding high off their 84-45 takedown of the Titusville Rockets last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Warren fell just short of the Oilers by a score of 44-42. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Warren has scored all season.
Several Dragons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brady Berdine, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Berdine hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Konnor Hoffman, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Warren's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Oil City, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warren will take on the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Pennsylvania (Franklin is ranked 88th, while the Dragons are ranked 75th). As for Oil City, they will be playing at home against the Rockets at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
