Incarnate Word Academy is 0-5 against Aransas Pass since December of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Angels will be taking part in a tournament against the Panthers at 10:00 a.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Incarnate Word Academy managed to slip by London the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Angels were beaten by the Pirates 78-34 on Tuesday. The Angels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-17.

Incarnate Word Academy's loss came about despite a quality game from Angel Perez, who posted six points and six boards. Perez has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Aransas Pass faced off against Carroll on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 67-42 to the Tigers. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Aransas Pass' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Incarnate Word Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Incarnate Word Academy suffered a grim 69-45 defeat to Aransas Pass in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can the Angels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
