Volleyball Recap: Brookfield Comes Up Short

Brookfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Maysville Wolverines. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolverines from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-16.

Brookfield's offense was headlined by Brylie Plagman and Shayne Lumsden, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Kaylee VanWagoner and her five assists. Emma Meyer controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Brookfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Maysville, their victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9.

Coming up, Brookfield will challenge Penney at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Maysville, they will take on Union Star at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
